Deposit Assurance (Cottages at Bay Harbor only)
Plan for peace of mind with the Cottages' Deposit Assurance. When you book your reservation, a deposit is required. If you cancel within 14 days, the deposit is normally non-refundable, but for just $25 per night, you can give yourself added flexibility in case the unexpected comes up, and you'll receive your full deposit back in the form of credits for a future stay.
Deposit Assurance may be purchased when reserving your stay to protect your deposit within our 14 day (or November 1 holiday) Cancellation window.
- Deposit assurance means that upon cancellation within 14 days (or after November 1 for holiday bookings) your deposit will be put onto a House Account for you to use towards a future lodging/package stay at Boyne and must be reserved within 365 days of original reservation date
- Deposit Assurance must be purchased at time of booking
- If you did not purchase deposit assurance at time of booking you have 48 hours to call back and purchase
- Cancellations outside 14 day (or prior to Nov 1 for holiday bookings) are refundable less $10 fee as well as full refund of deposit assurance fee
- Modifications to number of nights after original purchase will not change your deposit assurance amount. Please note purchased deposit assurance is charged for every room reserved and if the billing is split between parties, deposit assurance must stay with one guest per room
- Deposit assurance is not a travel protection/insurance and does not guarantee rates/availability for future stays

While many of us love dogs and our four-legged family members, our resort is not set up to have them as our guests at the Inn or Cottages. The exception is for service dogs as defined by the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) .
The ADA defines a service animal as a guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to a person with a disability. Service animals perform some of the functions and tasks that the person with a disability cannot perform for him or herself. Examples include: guide dogs assisting people who are blind, alerting persons with hearing disabilities to sounds, assisting persons with mobility challenges. Service animals are working dogs, not pets.
Comfort animals and support animals are not service animals under Title 2 and Title 3 of the ADA. They do not have special training to perform tasks that assist people with disabilities.
